Jerry is a St. Paul native and grew up in the catering business. His parents started Kane’s Catering in 1972. After high school, Jerry went to St. Paul college (formerly St. Paul Tech) where he received his culinary art’s degree.
Jerry has experience in many different cuisine’s and has been taught by many different Chef’s. He has been the chef in several different fine dining venue’s, including American Classic Voyages (formerly the Delta Queen Steamboat Company) out of New Orleans LA, where he met his Wife Brandy. After the couple married in 1999 and they moved back to Minnesota. In Minnesota Jerry continued his career where he was the Banquet Chef at the St. Paul Hotel, and he moved on to become the Executive Chef at the Anchorage Restaurant (Currently the Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel). All the while Jerry worked part-time in Kane’s Catering with his mother Janet.
Jerry always knew that he would come back to the family catering business. In 2005 he made the choice to make Kane’s catering his full-time work. In 2009 Jerry and Brandy bought Kane’s Catering and made it their own. Cooking is his true passion. He loves how food brings family and friends together. Jerry considers it an honor to have prepared the food for so many special events.
Jerry lives in Woodbury with his Wife Brandy and their two children, Autumn and Wyatt. When he is not working he enjoys watching his daughter compete as a gymnast or watching his son play every sport under the sun. When time allows you can find Jerry out on a lake waiting for a fish to bite.
